Sadly it’s best not to stop the car for anyone or anything other than the police

I believe this video is genuine, taken in the last week from a La Laguna University CCTV.

This is goo.gl/maps/PJ8OM, and you'll see the same street in La Laguna as the video claims. Even if it is not, however, carjackings are said to be on the rise throughout the island, so it is worth being aware. Stop for no-one, and nothing, unless police instruction.

Oh my god!  Absolutely, stop for nobody.  If you're concerned for somebody's welfare, keep driving and phone for help from a safe place.
If you are always trying to be normal, you will never know amazing.

We have known this from South Africa for 20-odd years.  Do not ever stop.  If you think you see a situation in which someone requires help, phone after you have driven by and are out of sight.  If you want to live the rest of your life without being raped, maimed, robbed, beaten, hurt, blinded, or any other myriad awful outcomes.  DO NOT STOP.  Phone afterwards.  Pay attention to details you can give the cops.

Never stop, but if your forced to never get out and never open a window. Reverse away or drive round and ring the police from a safe distance. But most important don't panic!
