The Tenerife tourism authorities have released a list of what they call "los imprescindibles" – the essentials. These are the stunning places that you just have to see in Tenerife. The list comprises cliffs, volcanos, and world-heritage towns. Here it is: I'm not sure I could improve on it even if asked!  How many have you seen? What might you add to your own list?

Los Gigantes cliffs
The Santa Cruz auditorium
Candelaria Basilica
Casa del Vino
Masca
Garachico
La Laguna
La Orotava
Icod de los Vinos Drago Tree
Teide National Park
Anaga Rural Park

I haven't been to La Orotava, Santa Cruz auditorium or Casa del Vino :p

I thought the Drago tree and the Candelaria Basilica were both very overrated.  I do love the Teide National Park though and agree very much with Masca and Los Gigantes  :tiphat:
If you are always trying to be normal, you will never know amazing.

Been to 6.  What is the Casa del Vino?  It sounds like something I would like a lot.

It's an old Canarian estate dating from the 17th century used now to promote (where one can taste and buy) Tenerife's wines. It also contains a restaurant, and the Vine and Wine museum, and it's used for various concerts, conferences, etc.

It's in El Sauzal in the north ...
