Does anyone know anything that can help an increasingly desperate British family locate Peter Henley who went missing in Puerto de la Cruz in mid-December? Peter was staying at the Luabay Hotel from 6 December, and was due back in the UK on the 18th. He did not return. According to the hotel, he disappeared on the 12/13th, and his bag was found in his room; Peter is a diabetic, and his insulin was found with his belongings though his passport was not there. The family say that the police, Interpol and the national park authorities are all involved in searching for him, but clearly they want as many people as possible to be aware that Peter is missing. His photo is above. If you know anything, please contact me and I'll put you in touch with the family.

I do hope this chap is found. It must be a living nightmare for his family.

Don't forget, there was a guy who disappeared from La Gomera a few months back, and nothing has been heard.  Not a rare occurrence sadly.

The saddest start to the new year for the family of Peter Henley, whose body has been found on the Los Realejos coast. It was found yesterday, but the authorities had not confirmed its identity – they still haven't – but the Foreign Office has confirmed that the body of someone British has been found,  and British press, including the BBC, is now saying that it is Peter's. With many condolences to Peter's poor family. JA

That is just so very sad. RIP Peter.

That's one New Years Eve his family won't ever forget.
