Adeje moved further towards high-quality tourism yesterday with the introduction of helicopter fun flights, the first of its kind in Tenerife. The buiness behind the venture is Helidream Canarias, and on offer are helicopter trips for parties of up to three from €98 to €298 per person. The basic ticket is for a flight of 30 km along the south west coast and barrancos; an alternative is a 50 km trip including Playa San Juan, Alcalá, Los Gigantes, Santiago del Teide, views of Teide and Tejina mountain; the 85 km version flies to Buenavista del Norte, and includes lunch; and the longest flight is 120 km with breakfast at restaurante Burgado de Buenavista, and including flying over the north coast, up the valle de La Orotava, Izaña, Güímar, Vilaflor and returning by the Barranco del Infierno. Wow! JA

They must have had second thoughts about the prices. I saw a price list a couple of weeks ago and I seem to remember it ranging between 200 and 1,000 €.
I thought at the time ..... "that'll be nice for the Russians"

Looks very good. I did however experience some of that, and as much as I really want to experience, last week from an airplane landing at TFS. It cost nothing and I felt safe, too.  ;)

Hmm. I've never flown in anything that small before.  :undecided:

The Robinson R44 is a small piston engined machine. I thought they'd at least have a turbine engined helicopter.
