Searchlights in the sky over Los Cristianos?

Often but not every night, there are multiple strobes, a lot like search lights, dancing in the sky over the hill between Palm Mar and Los Cristianos. They appear late at night and early in the morning and illuminate any clouds as they sweep round in curves. Does anyone know what they are?

No idea.  The only time I've seen spotlights is over the cliffs at Los Gigantes during carnaval or a fiesta or something. 

I am pretty sure it's not aliens, but you never know.
