It's where you say on the post above

Santiago del Teide Ayuntamiento has announced that this year's Almendros en Flor will be a much bigger affair than usual. Now in its 21st year, the Almond Blossom Route, which starts on Friday next week, will offer a range of walks and activities, and be organized in collaboration with various council departments and the Cabildo itself. There will be family walks, walks "without boundaries", gastronomic and touristic walks, as well as a Ruta Lovers and Ruta of Legends! The council has released six posters showing all the walks: click HERE for the first one and then scroll through them.

The HERE on the last line isn't a link. I had to go to your own website via a search on yahoo for it.

Janet

no, it isn't a link ... that is why I posted on the last line of the post (not the last line of the first paragraph) to click through with the link supplied to my website! You did NOT need to go to yahoo. The link direct to the post on my website was there ready for you!

edit: I'm sorry but I thought it was really self-explanatory to say, at the end of a post, "for live links click HERE" with the HERE being a link to my website. Clearly it was far from evident. Apologies but I try to save myself the extra effort of putting in a pile of links when there are a few when I'm already doubling up on putting the post on here when people could just look at my website in the first place! Instead, I just put one link to my website where all the links have already been put in and actually work.

Sorry Janet, I misunderstood what you were meaning. I'll get it in future.  :great:

Santiago del Teide Ayuntamiento says that the walks scheduled for this weekend have been changed because of the current weather and continuing forecast for rain and high winds. Tomorrow's Ruta Eco-Tur has been cancelled and Saturday's Ruta Un Día de Campo postponed to 18 February. Sunday's Ruta Turística is postponed to 17 February.

Is it worth going up in the car once the weather improves. Will I be able to see any blossoms anywhere near a road without me having to walk?  Their one for sin barreras looks as though it is more of a hike!

Janet

yes, there'll be lots of blossom ... you can drive up Valle de Arriba.

I think I saw a horde of people going to this walk today.  They had walking poles and backpacks fit for summiting Everest and were dressed to withstand a blizzard.  I hope they do not die of heatstroke.

I was supposed to do this walk with Sally B but wasn't feeling great after running out of one of my meds.

I was ragin'! I've wanted to do it for years.  :03:
[countdown=01,06,2021,13,30][/countdown] until I return to Tenerife!

The almond tree next to our terrace has just started to blossom, and it is usually in full blossom in the first week of January. I wonder how much blossom there actually is to see up there, even higher than we are.
