I know the colours didn't come out so well but that is actually a horizontal rainbow!

That looks really weird, even less circular than mine. The thing is, it's not actually possible to have a horizontal rainbow because the angle between the line from you to the sun and the line from you to every point on the rainbow must be around 42º. The smaller the section viewed, the flatter it will look. Strange effect though.
