What is with these women?  Getting your tits out accomplishes nothing but providing amusement for men.  I agree with the protest but not the method.

But it's a protest, and the main purpose is to catch everybody's attention. Tits tend to do this.

To the exclusion of everything else.  Who cares why they're out?  They're out.

Actually, that's not true, it's not to the exclusion of everything else. Having caught somebody's attention, most people will then ask why it is happening, because it it so unusual. Very effective advertising.

First day tally ... 3 humans injured, all runners. Two Americans, one Spanish ... Spanish quite seriously hurt. No information on the bulls, of course, but one presumes they all died.

Janet

and today, two gorings, one of them serious, another eight injured in the run ... again no news on the bulls but I suspect fatalities ...

News people are saying it was 2009 since the last fatality ...

that'll be "human fatality" then ...

And after a few days of no human incidents, the last but one day of the running saw two people gored, one in the lower leg and one in the groin ... bet that hurt ...

Several others had impact injuries after falling or bumping into things other than bulls.

Anyway - some delightful footage from Mexico - I don't know why it carries a warning that it might be distressing: the bull looks unharmed.

WARNING:  THIS IS REALLY DISTURBING AND VERY GRAPHIC.

There is a petition to the Spanish government, "Ban Using Old Horses For Bull Bait".  Here's the text:

QuoteIt's disgraceful what they do to old bullfighting horses and other old horses that they acquire. To cover their eyes and fill their noses and remove their voice box so the crowds can't hear the horses screaming in panic. Shackled to the ground with legs bound and put in padded wadding to be bull bait is an absolute disgrace. This is not a part of Spanish heritage and if it is you should be ashamed.

I would love to hear that this is a hoax but I am not holding out too much hope.
